The Small Tools module is used as a register of small tools that are in use. It enables depreciation and revaluation calculation for small tools.

The module can be accessed from the menu Financials | Fixed Assets | Small Tools.

Small tools are kept in the identical way as Fixed Assets. Here is a detailed description of features on the Small Tools form and the corresponding data kept in the register:

Table of contents

  1. Toolbar
  2. Header
  3. Tabs

1. Toolbar

Toolbar: The toolbar is found on each PANTHEON form at the top of the program window.

  • The features specific to the Small Tools form can be accessed by clicking the  (Wizards) button and are described in the chapter Wizards.
  • Small tools reports may be displayed by clicking the Print button.
  • Also small tools can be imported from and exported to Excel by clicking the    (Import/Export data) button and are described in the chapter Import/Export data.

2. Header

Header: In the header of the form, you can enter basic information about small tools. For the full description of each field, see the chapter Fixed Assets – Header. Here, only the specifics that occur in the Small Tools register are described.

  • Assigned to: Person defined in the Assigned to field in the header of the Small Tools form is taken from the Utilization tab in the Employee Files and does not represent the user of protective equipment. The user is defined in the HSW panel in the menu Personnel | Employee Files. When person defined in the Assigned to field is changed, history is automatically recorded on the Utilization tab of the Employee Files. The previous person from the Assigned to field is relieved of responsibility and Utilization End date is entered. The new person is recorded on the Utilization tab of the Employee Files and Utilization start date is entered.
  • In the Posting Method field there are 3 new methods:
    • 10 – Department and cost center from utilization according to debtor
    • 11 – Department from utilization according to debtor
    • 12 – Cost center from utilization according to debtor
  • Subtype: For use in the Employee Files, you can mark the small tools as protective equipment in this field. You can allocate protective equipment for workers on the HSW panel of the Employee Files.

If small tools are marked as protective equipment, two additional fields are shown (In Stock and Interval), where you can enter:

  • In stock – The quantity of protective equipment which is still available is displayed - not supplied. The number decreases when you select protective equipment for the worker from the HSW panel.
  • Interval  Enter the frequency (in months) specifying how often the protective equipment must be inspected or changed.

3. Tabs

The bottom part of the form shows tabs with more detailed information on the selected small tool.  For detailed information on each tab, see the chapter Fixed Assets.
