Specification Tree Structure
Video will guide you trough Product Specification tree structure.
On the left side you can observe a product specification in tree view (spec structure). Use it to view and inspect specification structure of a product or semi-finished product. In addition you can also use it to edit and view detailed product specification data. Click a material or operation included in tree structure to view details.
Selecting an individual item in tree view displays corresponding specification data on the right.

You can expand the tree at will. Clicking the "+" icon (or by double-clicking the specification) opens child levels. On the other hand, clicking the "-" icon shrinks the tree. You can also right-click and select Expand / Collapse commands from the menu.

In tree view you can view specification ID and name. Besides ID you can view alternate line and line of specification.
If a material or operation is marked as inactive in the Items register, it will be displayed red in spec structure.
Product specification components are marked with icons that visualize product, semi product, alternate, material or operation.
Displaying Specification in Tree View
You can view compound items, materials, and operations in tree view. A tree view displays a hiearchical list of items. Clicking a material or operarion item in tree structure expands it and opens detailed data.
Show Only Compound Items

Select the Show Only Compound Items option to view compound items included in the item in tree view.

If unmarked, compound items, materials and operations are displayed in tree-structured data.

Select the Show Only Compound Items and Operations option to view compound items and operations included in the item in tree view.

If unmarked, compound items, materials and operations are displayed in tree-structured data.
Show Only Compound Items and Materials

Select the Show Only Compound Items and Materials option to view compound items and operations included in the item in tree view.

If unmarked, compound items, materials and operations are displayed in tree-structured data.
Adding alternates
Product alternates can be added from the tree structure. Right click on the mouse and select Add alternate.

Data and Icons in Spec Structure
+ and - |
The "+" icon shows that a specification includes subordinate items. On the other hand, the "-" icon shows that you reached the lowest spec structure level (or that there is only one level). Click the icon to expand (+) or collapse (-) structure. You can do the same by double-clicking specification. |
