In the Bills of materials panel of the Administration panel | Settings | Program Parameters | Manufacturing you can determine parameters that are required for the editing and functioning of bills of materials. 

General In the General sub-panel of the Bills of materials panel you can define general information that are required for editing and functioning of bill of materials.
Field names In the Field names sub-panel of the Bills of materials panel you can define names of fields that will be used in material lines of the bill of material.
User Defined Fields In the User Defined Fields sub-panel of the Bills of materials panel you can additionally define material lines and work operations of bills of materials and referential links by direct requirements of an individual user.
