Report Type

Report Type section includes detailed and summary reports. They provide an aggregated view of fixed asset (FA) depreciation over a defined period of time and can be used to help identify FA excluded from calculations, verify purchase value adjustments, and compare tax and business depreciation values.

Report Type section can be accessed by selecting  Financials | Fixed assets | Depreciation Calculation AR00 – Depreciation/indexation of fixed assets | Reports.

Hint

Examples of how to use specific Report Types are described on the corresponding pages of the User Manual for PANTHEON.

The Report Type section consists of the following reports:

Depreciation Report - Detailed

They display multiple depreciation records simultaneously. Depreciation amounts are shown both individually and as aggregated totals for each inventory number. In addition to the calculated depreciation, the reports include the depreciation category, applicable tax rate, and the account for the purchase value.

The differences between the available report types lie in how the data is filtered or classified.

  • 26B – Depreciation – Detailed by Acquisition Accounts: Groups depreciation details by Acquisition accounts entered in the Accounting tab.
  • 26G – Depreciation – Detailed by Depreciation Categories: Classifies records by Depreciation Categories.
  • 26H – Depreciation – Detailed by Inventory Number: Breaks down depreciation details for each Inventory Number.
  • 26I – Depreciation – Detailed by Departments: Shows depreciation records filtered by Departments selected in the Header.
  • 26J – Depreciation – Detailed by Depreciation Accounts: Organizes depreciation by specific Depreciation accounts entered in the Accounting tab.
  • 26O – Depreciation – Detailed by Cost Centers: Groups records according to Cost Centers entered in the Header.
  • 26V – Depreciation – Detailed with Total by Inventory Numbers: Provides detailed depreciation entries with aggregated totals for each Inventory Number.

Hint

In the 26V report, the view can be simplified to show only total values for each Inventory Number by right-clicking within the report and selecting Collapse All. This option displays the final FA values for the defined period along with the depreciation recorded during that period.

Depreciation Report – Summary

The differences among these reports lie solely in their classification filters. They are particularly useful for generating From/To period overviews (for example, to display all depreciation reports for the current year) because:

  • Value Prior to Depreciation (left column in the report): Shows FA values before depreciation, reflecting the state at the start of the selected period.
  • Depreciation Value (middle column in the report): Displays total depreciation summed across all included reports for the period.
  • Depreciated Value (right column in the report): Presents the final acquisition and written-off values from the fixed asset register as of the last report in the period.
Warning
  • These reports are designed to display data in accordance with SRS 2002.
  • When displaying a single depreciation report, the From/To period appears in the report header. For multiple reports, this period information is omitted to avoid confusion.

  • Depreciation Report – Summary by Inventory Numbers
    • 11B – Depreciation – Summary by Inventory Numbers: Provides an aggregated depreciation summary for each Inventory Number.
  • Depreciation Report – Summary by Acquisition Accounts
    • 1O1 – Depreciation – Summary by Acquisition Accounts: Summarizes depreciation data grouped by Acquisition accounts entered in the Accounting tab.
  • Depreciation Report – Summary by Depreciation Categories
    • 1O2 – Depreciation – Summary by Depreciation Categories: Displays summarized depreciation calculations organized by defined Depreciation Categories.
  • Depreciation Report – Summary by Departments
    • 1O3 – Depreciation – Summary by Departments: Aggregates depreciation information by Departments entered in the Header.
  • Depreciation Report – Summary by Depreciation Accounts
    • 1O4 – Depreciation – Summary by Depreciation Accounts: Groups summarized depreciation data by Depreciation accounts entered in the Accounting tab.
  • Summary of Fixed Asset Movements
    • 1OE – Summary of Fixed Asset Movements: Displays all FA movements within a specified period entered in the Movement tab. Includes initial purchase value, purchase value at the start of the period, upward and downward adjustments, disposals during the period, and the purchase value at the period’s end.
Summary Reports for Depreciation Calculation

These reports provide an aggregated overview of depreciation calculations for FAs over a specified period. They also identify FAs that are not included in the selected sorting criteria.

  • Fixed Assets not included in Depreciation Calculation
    • 26S - Fixed Assets not included in Depreciation Calculation: Lists all Inventory Numbers without any depreciation calculation, along with details about the periods for which depreciation is missing.
  • Report on Unaccounted Depreciation Periods
    • 26T - Report on Unaccounted Depreciation Periods: Identifies missing periods where depreciation was not calculated, based on the Calculation tab.
  • Check Value Adjustment of Purchase Value
    • 26U - Check Value Adjustment of Purchase Value: Verifies adjustments made to the purchase value of FAs for the Entry Type 1-Acquisition in the Value tab.
  • Fixed assets with lower tax depreciation than business depreciation
    • 26Y - Fixed assets with lower tax depreciation than business depreciation: Displays both tax and business depreciation values side by side.
