Weather forecast

Weather conditions are one of several critical conditions for plant production. Controlling these conditions or being aware of them enables Producers to react after such conditions occured, or can prevent if certain weather conditions are forecasted.

In cooperation with Swiss company meteoblue we enabled that Producers can select exact locations where they have productions and get precise weather forecast as: 3-day forecast with hourly periods, 7-day forecast with hourly periods and 8-14 day daily forecast.

Users have 3 trials for 30 days to test it and make decision if such service helps them. Precise forecast for exact location is important tool which enables organizing work in such manner that there is as less possible bad planning because of unexpected bad weather.

First user have to define locations which are interesting for him to get weather forecast.
First click to Settings > Agricultural Holding

and then to Weather Forecast link

Following UI will appear

Number of locations for trial is set on 3 per serial number for all Farming users.
Locations available for activation is set to 0 and changes after ordered locations are paid.

Defining locations

Users can set locations directly through the table by adding:
- Active: check if you want them to be visible
- Default : Check if you want the location to be default one
- Location name: write the wanting name of the location
- GPS Latitude: comma separated value
- GPS Longitude: comma separated value
- Trial: this radio button is checked if you want to try your Trial period dor 30 days on this location
- Order: this radio button should be checked if you want to acquire bought points to this location
- Expiration Date: Date time of expiration of the service
- Last synchronization: Date and Time of last synchronization

Other way is with help of our MAPS module. After user finds locations by navigating through MAPS right click on Mouse offers "Add Point" for adding location to locations:

When clicked, in table beneath is added  new row for selected location. User have to add the name of location and then its all set:

Location is automatically visible GPS coordinates are precise.

Activating Trial (od Freemium)

As said before, every user has 3 points which can be used for testing meteoblue weather forecast. It is visible upon MAPS on right corner:

After locations are created, trial can be easily activated by checking radio button on table for a location in column "Trial":

After activating Trial system asks for confirmation:

And then trial is activated with new Status (Trial), Expiration Date (30 days) and Last synchronization:
Number of trials will fall for one and you will be able to use meteoblue weather forecast for selected location. In the same time on email will come notification about every Trial activation. Mail will come on mail written within Agricultural Holding

If you don`t have email there written system will remind you to add email.

Ordering new points

User can order right away or when finds through Trial that this service is usable for him he can order them. By clicking on  new wizard opens.

Email is automatically added. If no Email is written user can add  his email. Number of points can be added. 
After pressing "Request for offer", after confirming the request user gets a message:

And by email also the confirmation will be sent.

After getting an offer and after user pays for requested number of locations this number will be added on two places:
a) on the right upper corner of the MAPS

b) within Administration Panel > Upgrade/About > Installation

Activation of ordered locations

When points/locations are added as "Locations available for activation" and their number is greater then 0, user can activate them by simple clicking on checkbox in table where column name is "Order". When clicking following order is expected:
1. Click on checkbox for activation on selected location
2. Confirm that "you are sure ..."
3. Next remark is about expiration date and a number of ordered locations

After that you are free to use meteoblue weather forecast until the end of the period.
After location is activate 3-day forecast will show on MAPS and location icon on MAPS will be changed for the weather icon for the day.

By clicking on Detail button you can see an overview of 14 day weather forecast.
