Transferring eWorkflow via PANTHEON Web Service

Using the Web Service, PANTHEON users can transfer eWorkflows, tailor them according to their needs and use them.

This chapter shows how to transfer an eWorkflow using the Web Service.

CASE SUMMARY

The person responsible at Tecta Plc. wants to use the eWorkflows available via the Web Service in PANTHEON. To download the eWorkflows, the person responsible does as follows:

  1. Selecting eWorkflows using the Web Service
  2. Transferring eWorkflows to the register

1. Selecting eWorkflows using the Web Service

To transfer an eWorkflow from the server, the person responsible selects Settings | Documentation | Workflow Design from the main menu.

In the toolbar, the person responsible clicks the (Import/export data) button and selects the Transfer registers option.

The Download register – Workflow definitions window opens.

In the Group field of the Criteria section, the person responsible selects the appropriate eWorkflow according to the company's needs.

Tecta Plc. will use all eWorkflows from the eDocumentation group, which is why the person responsible selects all eWorkflows from this group.

In the Import type section, the person responsible checks the checkbox Add/Update, because the eWorkflows will be downloaded for the first time.

HINT

By selecting the Add/Update field, all records that do not exist in the register are transferred, and all the existing records are overwritten

In the For country field, the person responsible selects the EU localization from the drop-down list (predefined eWorkflows may vary from country to country).

The download is carried out by clicking the Transfer from server button.

2. Transferring eWorkflows to the register

Next, the person responsible transfers the selected eWorkflows to the register.

For this purpose, the person responsible specifies the ones that the company will use in the list of downloaded eWorkflows at the bottom of the window. This is done by checking the checkbox in the Yes/No column.

HINT

Right-clicking in the list offers a quicker option for selecting eWorkflows that will be transferred to the register. You can instantly mark or reject all eWorkflows, or select them inversely.

In this case, the person responsible leaves all eWorkflows checked.

WARNING

By checking the relevant checkboxes in the Yes/No column allows you to transfer only the desired workflows to the register.

The transfer process is completed by clicking the Transfer into register button.

If the eWorkflows have been successfully transferred, an information window appears.

The person responsible clicks OK to confirm the message.
