Used / Unused Accounts

By selecting the Used/Unused Accounts function from the Wizards menu in the toolbar of a financial report, you can check which accounts are included in a certain financial report or excluded from it.

The check is perfomed in the Financial Reports register for a previously defined period.

This is useful when checking for any inconsistencies between the report and general ledger postings (trial balance).

The wizard Used/Unused Accounts is designed to display the accounts:

  1. for which postings have been recorded in the selected period, but are not included in any of the formulas in the report,
  2. for which postings have been recorded in the selected period and are included in one of the formulas in the report.

Account Type

Select the type of accounts you want to review in the selected financial report.:

  • Unused Accounts
  • Used Accounts

Date From, Date To

Enter the date criteria for which you want to see which accounts are not included or are included in the financial report.

Document Types

Select the document type in which you want to find the defined account type in the financial report.

Color Code Posts

Checked posts (debit or credit) will be colored red.

In this case, the Debit entries are colored red. If no option is selected, the entries are not colored.

Check

Runs the checking process.

Grade, Group, 3 Digit Account, Account

 In addition to the account number, Grade, Group and 3-Digit Account are also displayed. Double-click opens a matrix with entries in the selected period in an account group.

Debit, Credit, Balance, Debit Balance, Credit Balance

Shows the amount on the account in the defined period.

Record Count

Shows the number of entries in the observed period on the account in the Account column.
