Addition of poultry

Poultry is classified among livestock for breeding and use. The veterinarian visits the owner of the animals in the field or at the location of the flock (group of animals). During the first examination, the veterinarian first registers the flock in the program, where a unique code for the group of animals is created.
In this chapter, we will present an example of creating a new code for poultry. The functionality is located in the menu Veterinary | Ciphers | Owner and animal ciphers, tab Poultry.
 |
CASE DESCRIPTION
The veterinarian in the field performs regular vaccinations of poultry. At the location of the farm of owner Izak Broiler, he will first describe the flocks of animals (broilers) for which he will also perform vaccinations. The process of creating a new code for the flock of animals will be carried out with the following steps:
- Searching for the owner's code
- Entering data in the Basic Data tab
- Entering data in the Poultry tab
- Printing animal data
|
1. Searching for the owner's code
The responsible person in the field first checks or searches for the owner's code, where they can then create a new code for the animal. The detailed procedure for searching for the owner is described in the chapter Searching for the owner or animal in the cipher list.
 |
WARNING
If the owner is not yet registered in the PANTHEON VET program, the responsible person first registers the owner, then the animal. For more detailed instructions, read in the chapter Adding a new owner.
|
2. Entering data in the Basic Data tab
The responsible person will enter the code for the entire group of animals into the program.
- Clicks on the button + New group, which is located in the function bar.

-
In the tab Basic Data the fields for entering new data are cleared, where the responsible person will enter the data.
-
In the field Group ID they enter a unique code or create it with the help of the program. In our case, the responsible person will use the button Id.
-
Clicks on the button Id and the program automatically creates a code in the field Group ID.
-
The responsible person continues entering data in the field Group Name. In our case, they enter: Broilers - 50 broilers.
-
In the field No. of animals they also enter the size of the flock: 50.
-
They continue entering data in the other fields. The data entry process is described in the chapter Entering animals (general).
The image below shows the final entry of data about the flock of broilers made by the responsible person in the field.

3. Entering data in the Poultry tab
After entering the basic data about the flock of animals, the appropriate tab is created based on the selected type of animal. In our case, the tab Poultry.
 |
TIP
Entering data in the tab Poultry is for informational purposes or the data is not mandatory.
|
- The responsible person selects in the field Poultry Type from the dropdown list: Broilers.
- They also specify the color of the animals in the field Color (o). From the dropdown list, in our case, they select: White.

4. Printing animal data
If the responsible person wants to check the data about the flock of poultry or print it for the owner, they do so in a manner that is detailed in the chapter Adding a dog.
The image below shows the printout of data about the flock of broilers made by the responsible person in the field.
