Import Local Files

Documents stored on a local drive can be imported into Documentation, granting access to documents to all PANTHEON users in the company.

The Import Local Files form shows links to documents that are linked to local disks.

The form can be accessed via the Documents form by clicking the (Import/Export Data) button and selecting the Import Local Files option.

HINT

For local file import to work properly, classifications must be properly defined on the document types in the Documentation Setup Wizard in the Document type settings step.

After the transfer, the documents with the specified classification will be transferred to the storage set in the classification scheme.

WARNING

After successfully importing documents from the local disk into Documentation, the program only deletes the links to the local files set in PANTHEON and DOES NOT delete the files of the imported files in the source folders.

Warning

If there are several files with the same name, they will receive an extension in the form of the number _01, _02, _03, etc. during import.
