PAAS upgrade

89213.gif010380.gif010379.gif010381.gif010411.gif010382.gif010383.gif

When upgrading the PANTHEON database, ‘PANTHEON.exe’ checks whether ‘PAAS.exe’ is installed in the same location and upgrades it to the latest version.

The upgrade process replaces ‘PAAS.exe’ in the source directory as defined in Clotho under ‘Program’.

The planned tasks have to be executed by PANTHEON for both the PAAS program as well as the REST service.

While the upgrade is underway, the running ‘PAAS.exe’ service is stopped.

Clotho replaces only ‘PAAS.exe’. This includes stopping and restarting the service if it exists. A new service is started only if it was running before the upgrade stopped it.

000001.gif PAAS launches one or more ‘PANTHEON.exe’ programs in the background. Before you can replace ‘PANTHEON.exe’, you must first stop ‘PAAS.exe’ so that it stops PANTHEON running in the background.
