Job interviews calendar

The calendar Interview overview provides an overview of the interviews for a specific employee or jobseeker. From the applications received from jobseekers, the person responsible selects the applicants to invite for a job interview. In the interview, the recruiters get the opportunity to verify the validity of what is written in the CV and assess whether the applicants have the right character qualities for the job.

HINT

For more information on the Interview overview, see the chapter Calendar.

Below is an example of how to schedule an interview in PANTHEON.

CASE SUMMARY

Scheduling interviews helps the person responsible to organize the work. Sally Sales, Head of Wholesale at Tecta, would like to interview applicants for the vacancy Sales Clerk. This is done as follows:

  1. Selecting the applicant to schedule an interview

  2. Scheduling the interview

  3. Entering the interview date in the employee's calendar

1. Selecting the applicant to schedule an interview

In the menu Personnel | Employment, the person responsible selects the option Applicants.

The window showing the Applicants register opens.

The person responsible uses the toolbar navigation buttons to search for the desired applicant.

In this case, the person responsible searches for Calvin Clerk. The process described in the steps below is then repeated for all candidates.

2. Scheduling the interview

The panel Applicant details opens.

From the drop-down list of the field Type at the bottom of the panel, the person responsible selects the appropriate record to be used for creating calendar tasks.

In this case, the person responsible selects the option USM - Unscheduled meetings.

HINT

The record types available when making a selection in the field Type are kept in the Calendar entry types register.

In the field Interview on, the person responsible selects the date and time when the applicant will be interviewed.

3. Entering the interview date in the employee's calendar

The scheduled interview is entered in the calendar of the person responsible.

WARNING

If the field Type in the panel Particulars is left empty, the interview data will not appear in the calendar Interview overview.

The person responsible opens the menu Personnel | Employment | Calendar.

The window Interview overview opens.

The person responsible uses the toolbar navigation buttons to search for their own record, in this case Sally Sales.

A yearly overview of the calendar is displayed, as shown in the image below.

Clicking on an entry in the calendar shows the details of the Applicant, Vacancy notice, Position and the date of the Interview on the right-hand side of the window.

HINT

The calendar display can be set to weekly, monthly, quarterly or yearly view.

After repeating the process of entering the interview dates in the calendar for all applicants, the person responsible can set the overview on the calendar to the weekly view.

The image below shows the selected week and the scheduled interviews.
