Creating a new user

In the list of users, you can create new users in the database. The list of users in PANTHEON Web Light can be accessed on the tab Users in the module Settings. When creating a new user, user details, login credentials and permissions need to be specified.

This chapter shows how to create a new user in PANTHEON Web Light and how to define all the necessary settings.

HINT

For more information on creating a new user, see the chapter New user in the technical guide.

CASE SUMMARY

The person responsible wants to create a new user in PANTHEON Web Light. First, the person responsible creates a new user and enters the user data. Next, the person responsible defines the user's login credentials and sets the necessary permissions. This is done as follows:

  1. Creating a new user
  2. Entering the user data
  3. Entering the login credentials
  4. Setting permissions

1. Creating a new user

The person responsible wants to create a new user in the list of users.

To open the list of users, the person responsible selects the module Settings and the tab Users.

In the command line, the person responsible clicks the button New user.

A blank window for entering the details of the new user opens.

2. Entering the user data

In the section User data, the person responsible starts entering general data on the new user.

The toggle button Active is set to active by default.

In the field First name, enter the first name of the new user: Pat.

In the field Last name, the person responsible enters: Purchase.

In the field Display name field, the person responsible enters the name of the natural person that will appear when issuing an invoice using an electronic device for issuing invoices, in this case: 09.

WARNING

The Displayed name is mandatory information on the invoice for the purposes of invoice fiscalization and may be any code as defined by the taxable person for these purposes. It is important that the code is linked to the tax number of the person displayed on the invoice, because the tax number is sent by the system to the tax authority as invoice information during the invoice fiscalization process.

In the field Tax no., the person responsible enters: 22757588.

WARNING

The user's tax number is mandatory information, because the information about the person creating or fiscalizing the invoice is sent to the tax authority. The user's tax number will not be displayed on the invoice.

In the field Email, the person responsible enters: pat.purchase@gmail.com.

WARNING

The Email of the user is mandatory information. If the user does not have an email address, they can enter a different email address in this window to which they will receive a password reset email in case of a forgotten password.

Next, the person responsible enters the login credentials.

3. Entering the login credentials

In the section Login credentials window, the person responsible enters the new user's login credentials.

WARNING

If a user is using both a PANTHEON license and a PANTHEON Web Light license, such a user can log in to both applications with the same username and password.

In the field User name, the person responsible enters: PURCHASE.

WARNING

Entering the user name is mandatory. The program checks whether a user with this name already exists before saving.

In the field Password, the person responsible enters the desired password.

WARNING

Entering the password is mandatory. The user will be required to enter the password each time the user logs in to the program. The password is hidden on the screen and is only displayed with asterisks.

The field Repeat password is automatically populated with the password from the field Password.

Proceed to the permissions setting.

4. Setting permissions

In the section Permissions, the person responsible sets the permissions for the new user.

Using the toggle buttons (which turn yellow when active), the person responsible can select which parts of the program and which program functions the user should be granted access to.

HINT

For more information on authorizations, see the chapter Authorizations – General in the technical guide.

The person responsible saves the new user by clicking the button Save.
