Opened Tasks – Background Notification Service

The User can be notified about open tasks by email as well, using eWorkflows. In this way, we can remind the user of the content that still needs to be carried out until a certain deadline.

The following is a use case of sending notifications about open tasks by email, using eWorkflows.

CASE SUMMARY

The person responsible wants to notify the worker about open tasks by email. The person responsible does this in the following way:

  1. Running the workflow
  2. Receiving email about opened tasks

1. Running the workflow

The person responsible wants to notify the worker about open tasks by email.

For this purpose, the person responsible has a created workflow.

HINT

For instructions about creating a simple workflow see chapter .

In the main menu, the person responsible selects Settings | Documentation | Workflow Design.

The person responsible finds the desired workflow – Open tasks () – using the navigation buttons.

Predefined workflows can be transferred from the web server. For instructions, see chapter

 

To run the workflow, the person responsible clicks the (Run Workflow) button.

The workflow run confirmation window opens: Do you want to run workflow "opened tasks (background notification service)?"

The person responsible clicks the (Run Workflow) button again.

2. Receiving email about opened tasks

When the workflow is finished, the worker receives a message to their email, as displayed below:

The program automatically sends a notification, according to the user's settings in the Administration panel | Task Autorun.
