1. Company using PANTHEON Cloud

Here is an example where the Company Ltd. is a PANTHEON license holder and a PANTHEON Cloud user and has a contract for PANTHEON Cloud with the local Telcom company (subscribed via Datalab).
The company uses internet connection to access the database stored securely on the servers of the local Telcom company.
In this case, license configuration is as follows:
PANTHEON license holder: COMPANY LTD.

2. Company and accounting firm using PANTHEON Cloud – shared access to the database
Here is an example of a company (COMPANY LTD.) and an accounting firm (ACCOUNTING FIRM LTD.).
Each of them has a separate license agreement for PANTHEON Cloud and each of them owns its own database.
The accounting firm wants to access the company's database, so the company administrator needs to add an external user from the accounting firm to their database. The company administrator specifies that this external user uses the accounting firm's license. For detailed instructions, see the chapter Overview of databases and users.

In this case, there are two license activation forms (or contracts for PANTHEON Cloud).
The assignment of databases and created users for such use case is as follows:
PANTHEON license holder: ACCOUNTING FIRM LTD.

3. Accounting firm with several different customers using PANTHEON Cloud

Here is an example where the accounting firm uses PANTHEON Cloud. In addition to its own business, it keeps the accounts for several different customers, i.e. 7 other companies.
- Two companies have signed a PANTHEON Cloud contract and own the database. The accounting firm connects to the database from Company 1 (DB#1) and Company 2 (DB#2) with its own license.
- The accounting firm owns its own cloud database (DB#8) and 5 other databases of companies (DB#3, DB#4, DB#5, DB#6, DB#7), which are not users of PANTHEON Cloud. The accounting firm uses its own license to provide accounting services to companies 3, 4, 5, 6 and 7 and pays for the space used on PANTHEON Cloud.
 |
WARNING
PANTHEON Cloud has several different servers. In the example described above, all databases must be on the same server.
