Searching subject IDs

In this field, you can select from the drop-down menu whether the program should search external IDs or not when entering a document of receiving and issue:
- N – Do not use external ID – If you create a document, it will not use external IDs;
- P – Use external ID for specific subject or subject type – You can use this option, when you have defined an external ID for a specific subject;
- K – Use external ID for all subjects – You can select this option when you have entered the external ID in the Items register to use it for all subjects;
- I – First search by items, then by external IDs - This option is used when one item has an the same value in the External ID field as another item in the Item (acIdent) field.

With authorizations, you can define searching on the level of an individual user as well.

You can define an external ID to enter on a document to an individual subject only. With this parameter, you can set whether this ID is valid only when entering for a specific subject (P) or for all subjects (K).
This parameter can either be used throughout the entire program, or you can set it for an individual user of the program (see Personal Settings).

Controls of external IDs: If this toggle button is enabled (colored), then external ID's are controls are checking when searching in the Items register. If this toggle button is disabled (gray), external ID's controls are not checked in the Items register.

WARNING
If you have a warehouse on document, PANTHEON Web is looking for a selected option on Searching subject IDs. If the option Do not use external ID (N) is not used, then PANTHEON Web will not be searching by External ID (from field External ID on general item data).
If there is no warehouse on a document or the selected option Searching subject ID is Do not use external ID (N), then PANTHEON Web will search by the External ID (from External ID field on General item data).
