Adding Individual Orders to the Picking List

Apart from mass adding of orders to the picking list the are two possibilities to add an individual order to the picking list.

Adding Directly from a Sales Order Using the Add to PL Button

In sales orders click on the Add to PL button. If the this order has already been transferred to the picking list, the program will report a message (see Order already transferred to picking list. Do you want to retransfer it?).

If you select the Cancel button, the picking list will only be displayed on the screen. The program will display lines of the currently selected order.

If you select the OK button, the program will update and display data in the picking list. The program will display lines of the currently selected order. This option will cancel any manual changes to the picking list (for more information see Splitting lines).

000001.gif If some order lines have already been dispatched (at least partially) it cannot be re-added to the picking list. In this case, the program reports an error (for more information see Picking list lines already dispatched! Adding not possible!).

Automatic Adding Using Settings in the Program Parameters

In Program Parameters (Administration Panel | Settings | Program Parameters | Orders), you can define that orders with a particular status are to be added to the picking list as soon as that status is assigned.

When entering a new order, it will receive the lowest status defined in Document types settings for orders (default: 1 - Created).

Once you confirm a sales order, it will be assigned the status 2 – Confirmed.  Using settings in the program parameters Administration Panel | Settings | Program Parameters | Orders), you can automatically launch the function for adding an order to a picking list (that is, the same function that can be launched by clicking the Add to PL button 21988.gif in the Lines panel).

The rest of procedure is described above in the Adding directly from a sales order using the Add to PL button.

Through this method only following orders can be added to the picking list:
  • orders with entered warehouse that uses a picking for the dispatch;
  • orders without entered warehouse.

If you want to add an order to the picking list with a selected warehouse that does not issue goods through a picking list, the program will report an error (see The warehouse does not issue items via the picking list!).
