Custom Fields

The Custom Fields tab in the fixed assets (FA) Reports form displays all user-defined fields that have been configured in the Administration Panel. These are the same fields which are also available in the Custom Fields tab in the Fixed Assets, Small Tools, and Register - Fixed Assets in Acquisition registers.

Custom Fields are ideal for tracking details that are not covered by standard system fields. Examples include information such as the vehicle's next scheduled maintenance, warranty expiration, or service provider. These fields can be tailored to align with internal business processes, industry-specific requirements, or regulatory needs. They can be included in Reports to make critical non-standard data visible and accessible. Reports can be filtered based on custom field values, making it easier to isolate specific subsets of assets

The Custom Fields tab can accessed from the FA Reports form.

Hint

Examples of how to use Custom Fields tab are described on the corresponding pages of the User Manual for PANTHEON.

Below are examples of possible Custom Fields that can be set up:

Maintenance company Filters reports based on the designated service provider or company responsible for maintaining the asset. This helps track assets by vendor and monitor service history across different suppliers.
Frequency Filters reports based on how often the FA is scheduled to undergo maintenance (e.g., monthly, quarterly, annually).
Price for service Filters based on the recorded or estimated cost of the last or next maintenance activity.
Next Service Filters FAs scheduled for upcoming maintenance by a specific date or within a time range. It helps ensure critical FAs are serviced on time to avoid operational disruption.

Hint

Custom Fields can be configured the Administration Panel under: Settings | Program | Administration panel | Settings | Financials | Fixed Assets | Custom Fields.
