Daily Plan

Production planning is one of the most important jobs in a manufacturing company. With the help of the daily planning functionality, you can easily prepare a daily production plan for individual shifts.

The Daily Plan form allows you to plan shifts, add operations to resources, add workers to operations, review reported work as well as work that is still open, edit operations, and copy unfinished work to other daily plans.

Hint

Operations and workers can be added to the daily plan by using the Drag and Drop method. You can read more about this in the chapter Drag and Drop in Daily plan.

The Daily Plan form can be found in the menu Manufacturing | Daily Plan | Daily Plan.

Warning

In order for the daily planning to work correctly, it is necessary to set some settings:

  • Work Calendars – Before planing, the work calendars must be set.
  • Working Hours – In the work calendar, the working hours must be set with defined shifts.
  • Resources – Resources must be linked with work calendars.
  • Daily Plan Document type – Set arbitrary parameters of daily planing in the Document types register.

You can find more information about the sections and functionalities of the Daily Plan form in the following chapters:
