Delete Absence

To delete an absence to the employee, open the Absence Overview form and select the employee to whom you would like to delete absence. Next, you can select the Delete Absence function from the Wizards menu or select dates on the calendar and use the right-click menu where you can select the Delete Absence function as well
.

You can also use the Delete Absence function from the Absence Overview panel of the Employee files form.

In the Delete absence form you can define following criteria:

Employee

If the program has not enter the employee, you can select one from the lookup list. If you leave the field blank, the program will delete absence to ALL employees. By pressing on the button  we can select multiple employees for who we would like to delete absences.

Before deleting, the program will ask for confirmation: Do you really want to delete absences of ALL employees?
Department In this field you can select from the lookup list the department at which you would like to delete absence to employees. The program will first ask for confirmation: Do you really want delete absences of all employees in the department (XXX) ?

If you leave the field blank, the program will delete absence to all employees in the company.

Start In this field you can select from the calendar the date, from which on the program will delete absence.
If you do not define the Start date, the program will display a warning, once, you have clicked the Delete button : Absence start must be defined.
End In this field you can select from the calendar the date, up to which program will delete absence. If the absence is meant for one day only, you have to enter the same date in the Start and End field.
If you do not define the End date, the program will display a warning, once, you have clicked the Delete button : Absence end must be defined.

Once, you have defined all criteria, you can click the Delete button , the program will delete absence and display a message: Deleting absence completed! 

If no absence is entered for the selected period, the program will display a message: This date contains no data to delete.

You can delete an absence in some other ways as well:

In the Absence Overview form you can open the overview for a certain employee. With the cursor you can select the date for which you would like to delete absence, and open with a right-click function a menu, where you can select the Delete Absence function. The program will open the Delete absence form with the filled-in date and employee to whom you would like to delete the selected absence. To delete the absence click on the Delete button.
