In the Fixed Assets register you define the type of depreciation calculation for fixed assets, small tools and you name the document type for the inventory count, and than you can use them in module Fixed assets.

First, choose the document type (two options):

Next, define the document type of orders with following data:

ID 3-digit alphanumeric ID of the document type
Name descriptive name of the document type
Short name short name according to your choice of the document type, which is reported in overviews
Archiving if checked, you keep the document type and see it in the main menu, you can also enter new documents, but you cannot for example post them automatically
Note here you enter notes to the document type, and it is a kind of internal ID of the document type.

Class of document type choose the between following document types:
  • Depreciation - used for depreciation calculation of small tools and fixed assets. Predefined classes of document types are FA for fixed assets and ST for small tools.
  • Inventory count - used for achievment of inventory count of fixed assets and small tools. Predefined classe of document types is IN - Inventory count.
Calculate depreciation (only for document types of Depreciation) checked, for calculation of depreciation in this document type.
Calculate revaluation (only for document types of Depreciation)checked, for calculation of revaluation in this document type.

On the calculations of SRS 2002 the checkbox has no influence.

Calculate Depreciation on Activation day

Program add check box to newly opened fixed assets for Depreciation Since usage start.

Include Upward and Downward Revaluation in Depreciation for Current Month With the switch on the depreciation will take into account also upward and downward revaluation for current month. Default is next month acquisition day.
Max. rounding differences added to last depreciation calculation It is possible to set max amount of book value that will be added to last depreciation calculation. In other words, when difference between purchase value and accumulated depreciation will be less than entered amount in doc. types then this amount will be added to current deprec. calculation. Affects both, tax and business depreciation.

Except of the above document type DR (depreciation / revaluation) the following two document types are predefined as well:
