General

The General tab of the Tools register allows you to edit tool’s general information and the type of tool.

Here you can specify additional parameters of the tool. You can also access and link the Resources and Products.

Below is a description of the tab’s features.

1. Basic data

This section contains basic data about the tool.

Active

If checked, the tool’s status is set to Active and can be used in production.

Resource

Displays the ID of the tool.

Name

Enter the name of the tool.

Department

Enter or select the Department for the tool.

Cost Center

Enter or select the Cost center for the tool.

Regulation

Enter or select the Regulation for the tool.

Note

Enter the note for the tool.

2. Tool Type

This section contains information about the type of rtool.

Type

Enter or select the tool type from the Tool types register.

Own

Select, if the tools is own by your company.

External

Select, if the tools is owned by the third party. (E.g. is on lease, rental, etc.)

Owner

Enter or select the subject ID of the owner of the tool.

3. Parameters

In this section additional parameters for the tool can be set up.

No. of Nests

Enter a number of nests on the tool. Nest is a layout or patten of parts arranged on a tool to maximize efficiency during operations.

Piston Diameter

Enter a diameter of piston.

Is scheduled

If checked, it sets whether the resource is used in the work process scheduling.

4. Tool Picture

In this field, you can add an image of the resource.

The image can be uploaded, saved, or otherwise edited by right-clicking on the field.

5. Resources

In this section a tool can be linked to the Resources.

Priority Select the priority of the resource.
Resource Select the resource you want to link to the tool.
Name Displays the name of the linked resource.

6. Products

In this section a tool can be linked to Products.

Product Type

Select the product type from the list.

Options are:

  • Primary - select if it is a primary product
  • Secondary - select if it is a secondary product
Item Select the item ID from the Items register, that you want to link to the tool.
Name Displays the name of the item from the Items register.
State

Select the state of the product from the list.

Options are:

  • Prototype - the product is set as a prototype.
  • Sampling- the product is set for sampling.
  • Approved - the product is approved.
  • Production - the product is in production.
  • Deviation- the product is in a state of deviation.
Approval No. Enter the number of approval document for production of a product.
Approval Qty. Enter the approved quantity for production.
Approval Valid From Enter the start that of approval validity.
Deviation Qty. Enter the quantity for deviation.
Deviation Valid To Enter the end date for deviation validity.
