Creating a new item type

Among the registers linked to the Items register in PANTHEON Web Light, there is also an Item types register, where you can add your own item types in addition to the predefined item types, depending on your company's needs.

This chapter describes how to create a new item type 510 - Auxiliary material.

CASE SUMMARY The person responsible wants to create a new item type for auxiliary material used in manufacturing. The item type will be labeled 510 - Auxiliary material and will be of type M - Goods. This is done as follows: Opening the list of item types Opening the form for creating a new item type Entering the data on the new item type

1. Opening the list of item types

To open the Items register, the person responsible clicks Registers | Items from the main menu.

This opens the list of items, where the person responsible clicks the field Registers in the list header and selects Item types from the list.

This opens the list of item types.

2. Opening the form for creating a new item type

To start creating a new item type, the person responsible clicks the button New in the command line of the form.

This opens a blank form for entering the data on the Item type.

3. Entering the data on the new item type

Into the blank form, the person responsible starts entering the data for the new item type, which will be of type 510 - .

In the field Type, the person responsible enters the code: 510.

In the field Name, the person responsible enters: Auxiliary material.

By clicking the field Type, the person responsible opens a list of predefined item types and selects M - Goods from the list.

To save the data entered, the person responsible clicks the button Save.

After saving, PANTHEON Web Light displays the item type in the list of item types. The new item type can be used immediately.

HINT To cancel the process of creating a new item type, click the button X (Cancel) in the form command line.
