Selecting Plan Spec tab in Plan window opens a panel with lines of plan specification.
See the following two topics for a more detailed treatment of plan specification:
The above-mentioned topics describe the procedure used in scheduling operations in plan specification, however, the procedure is equivalent to the one used in manufacturing specification.
Plan specification is a specification structure that
can be created, according to requirements, using the Hefaist application. Plan specification shows in lines of plan components, materials of which the item is made up as well as technological procedures used in processing.
Only specific functions used in creating plan specifications are described in this topic. By
clicking appropriate links visit topics dealing with functions equivalent to those in creating product specifications.
Lines of material in plan specification contain data on materials required for creating items (products) as specified in plan.
Lines of operations of plan specification contain data on operations in the technological procedure.
Plan specification allows you to release work orders from plan.
Moreover, plan specification is product specification copied to lines of plan. Until plan specification is created it doesn't exist (blank) and product specification is used instead. Having created a plan specification the link to product
specification is cancelled. From now on the plan spec is used.
Besides data from product specification you can find also lines scheduling requirements of lines of material as well as scheduling execution of operations. The above-mentioned topics describe the procedure used in scheduling operations in plan specification, however, the procedure is equivalent to the one used in manufacturing specification.
Edit lines in plan specification in the same way as in product specification. That is, you can add new lines of material and operation, changing or deleting them later. Thus you adapt the basic product specification to concrete circumstances particular to the plan.
Having checked Exclusive Spec Editing it is
controlled so that only one user can work on the plan specification. Otherwise the following message appears.

The upper panel section displays lines of material and the bottom section displays operations entered in plan.
 |
Order fields in any column in ascending order by right-clicking column title bar.
|
 |
Make use of the drag-and-drop in order to move fields appearing in specification to the desired position. |
Information Appearing in Main Panel Section:
ID
| Displays item in line of plan together with the line number (in brackets) and planned quantity
plus unit of measurement used. Whenever planned quantity in plan equals 0 the quantities required are calculated and displayed for
quantity 1.
|
Display Alternate | Enter or select alternate in basic product specification.
|
Wizard functions are available only when in Plan Spec panel:
Edit Lines
| By using this command you can add lines to specification and add operations to technological procedure you can also delete and modify lines similar as in product specifications. The section for editing lines of material in plan specification also contains the Production panel where you can view and edit scheduled data. The section for editing operations in plan specification also contains the Production panel where you can view and edit scheduled data.
|
Rearrange Lines |
Rearranging lines of materials and operations is performed similarly than with product specifications.
|
Copy Plan Lines | Opens a window for copying specifications. By copying you can create a plan specification, overwrite an existing manufacturing specification or add new lines to it. Copying is easy to use and straightforward as anywhere else.
|
Delete Spec | Delete the selected specification by using this command. Before actually deleting you have to confirm the operation. Deleting plan specification reestablished direct link between lines in plan and corresponding linked product specifications.

(+)
|
Clicking (+) opens additional lines related to this operation. In other words displays materials to be integrated in assembly when executing the operation. Which of the above-mentioned lines are integrated in assembly during specific operations can be defined by
appropriate sequence of line numbers. Typically, most lines of materials are integrated during the first operation being assigned a smaller number than the related materials. Specifying Lines:
