Program Upgrade Notification Service for Host Database Users

A systemic upgrading of databases is set up for companies that have their databases in Hosting. Users are notified about upgrades beforehand, on the User site and by email.

In the Login window, there is a banner for notifications about the planned databases upgrade and the upgrade carry out process , so that users do not overlook upgrade notifications.

CASE SUMMARY

Ashley Accountant was unexpectedly absent for a few days. When she returned to work, her co-worker asked her to urgently check the contents for approval, so that reports can be finished by the end of the month. Before checking her email, Ashley Accountant logged in to PANTHEON, where she noticed a notification about a scheduled upgrade.

After opening the Login form, the person responsible notices a red banner on the bottom, where there is a notification about a scheduled database upgrade on a hosting server.

 

HINT

Despite the notification, the person responsible can log in and work normally.

 

2. Pop-up notification during the database upgrade

In case the person responsible opens the login form during the database upgrade, a notification about the ongoing upgrade process will show up on the red banner at the bottom.

WARNING

Do not attempt to log in to the program during the upgrade process, because this will increase the probability of errors.
