Rearranging Lines and Operations

010383.gif

A sequence of lines is set by line number (Line). Numbering of lines is done in a uniform fashion - that is, it is the same for lines of material and operations but unique in terms of a specific alternate.

You cannot determine specification structure from a sequence of lines of material. It is, however, important in terms of transparency.

The sequence of lines of operations is on the other hand significant in this respect since line numbers determine the sequence in which the operations will be carried out.

A combination of lines of material and operations is important for determining which material is used for which line of operation. Alternate lines of material with lower consecutive number than an operation but still at the same time exceeding the previous operation should be integrated here.

Lines of material are usually integrated with the first operation. Hence it is most practical that all consecutive numbers of operations are greater than those of lines of material. In this way numbers of operations follow those of lines of material.

To change order of lines, you have to modify it in the Materials and Operations panels. To do this, you can also use this panel (by clicking column title field). To move a line, simply drag and drop it. By dragging and dropping it downwards you move it AFTER the selected line, or upwards to move it INFRONT of the selected line. Any changes you make are stored after activating renumbering.

Lines are numbered automatically when adding new lines according to default specification settings in Administration Panel | Program Parameters.

Automatic Renumbering of Lines:

Selecting Rearranging Lines in the wizards menu that can be found in taskbar opens a window where you can renumber lines of a specific alternate.

Here you can view specification of the selected alternate.

Click the Confirm button after entering or selecting alternate, step and selecting the appropriate option. This way you renumber lines using set criteria. The window closes and lines are renumbered accordingly.

Renumerate by Select an option by which to perform renumbering and activate the Step field.
Step
Alternate Enter or select an alternate you want to renumber.
Confirm Click it to perform renumbering.
