Recalculation of the goods movements is a function, that refreshes the data in the databases. It may happen that the user incorrectly finishes the work with the program and that the program thus does not calculate the stock, serial numbers and similar correctly.

Stock refreshing is important, when the final costing is entered after such items have been already handed out. Then, the valuation price has to be corrected with all of the issues, which this function calculates. It is also used, if you allowed for negative issues from the warehouse and if you have entered the receiving of goods afterwards, when the goods have already been shipped out, and with the use of FIFO and LIFO methods of valuation.

With the refresh movements option, you renew all data in the goods movements (overall amount of the account, overall amount of the discount and tax,...). This data fall out of order in case of incorrect interruption of work with the program, and it can be restored with the re-calculation.

In the Refresh movements menu there are three panels for that purpose:

  • Refresh stock – for refreshing the status of serial numbers, stocks and valuation prices
  • Refresh movements – for refreshing of the values in the invoices, general ledger and similar
  • Errors – the panel displays the list of errors with the renewal of stock or pre-calculation of goods movements (for example negative stock, negative average purchase price and similar).

The "Refresh movements" can be run from the menus, or it can be performed automatically - for example, every evening..
How to perform the automatic start of the "Refresh movements" is described in the chapter System environment | Automatic performance | SQL jobs | Refresh movements.
