Formula Builder in Manufacturing Module

Formula Builder in Manufacturing Module

Due to complex structure of manufacturing in any company, you must ensure PANTHEON is adapted accordingly. Of course, the same holds for valuation and monitoring. A formula builder is available in PANTHEON. You can use it to modify individual variables accordingly:

- Quantities in Spec

- Prices in Cost Estimation

- Scheduling and Material Planning

- Prices in WO Processing - SE

- Prices in WO Processing - MF

- Finished Work Analysis

000001.gif General information about formula builder

Formula Builder Window

Here you can create, modify and test formulas. On the left-hand side you can observe variables displayed in tree-view. On the right-hand side you see forms for creating formulas.

Double-click any variable from the Variables list to display it in the Formula field. The bottom section displays descriptions of variables used in a formula.

Commands and operands from calculator that can be found in the Parameters panel can also be transferred to formulas.

Formula Data

Formula
Displays a formula used for calculating data.

You can also modify it - any modifications made are then recorded in the database. Confirm it by clicking Use.

26171.gif Test- Click it to perform calculation using the formula (if available). Data which are obtained are then displayed in the bottom section of formula builder (value and result).

See the Test Formula topic for a detailed treatment of how formulas get tested.

Parameters

Here you can add values to formulas using a calculator.

Earnings Type

Variable

Field

The above fields appear when using variables from Payroll Preparation. It enables you easy-to-use creation of formulas directly from Payroll Preparation.

Select between earnings types from Earnings Types.

Select between various types of variables.

Click the Use button to display created formula in the bottom panel section.

Test

Here you can test whether formulas are valid. Click the Test tab or the Check button to open the corresponding panel.

Variable
Displays individual variables which you previously entered in the Parameters panel.

If an incorrect variable is used in formula (e.g. incorrect formula syntax), it will not be displayed under variables or in line. This is a sure sign that you tried to use an incorrect formula!

Value Enter a value of individual variable when testing formula. It is a simple way to check whether the formula is valid. If not so, you can check the formula, modify it and save changes.

Formula Testing

Click the Test button to display result of formula tests in bottom section.

Click the Use button to transfer a modified or newly-created formula to Formula | Earnings Types. This way the formula is recorded in the register or database. At the same time a test is run.
