User Authorizations
User Authorizations
When logging in the user must enter up to 30-character user ID at the same time giving information on the level of authorizations they are assigned.
Newly created user has no permissions by default, which is required prior to login in program. Permissions are defined on the user and group. User can be a member of a group or not. If user is assigned to the group, it inherits permissions of group. Permissions that are explicitly defined at the user will take priority over permissions set on a group.
Permissions can be set on a specific authorization tree or all permissions at once.
Authorizations are displayed in tree view in the panel for assigning user authorizations. There are also icons displayed used in order to show the level of authorizations assigned to the currently selected user.

Granted |
Granting or withdrawing permissions for current entity. If there are existing child entities that are not explicitly set, will also take effect. |
Acquired
|
Marked (checked) when permissions are inherited from the group when user is assigned (add) to the group. Not marked (unchecked) permissions; that are set at the user level.
|
Inherited |
Permissions that are inherited from a parent entity. |

Search permissions
Use permissions search by selecting one or multipe permission.

When selection is confirmed, only selected remissions are displayed.

Use search field for searching by authorization tree. Confirm selection with ENTER and all results are filtered and colored in yellow.

There are two additional funcitons that can be found in authorizations menu:
 |
Restore/Copy Parent Group Status - By using this function the user authorizations are replaced by the default authorizations of the parent group. |
 |
Copy Authorization permissions from Other User - By using this function assigns exactly the same authorization permissions as assigned to some other user to the currently selected user.
You can perform copying by selecting a user from selection table and then click copy button.
When copying user settings it is required that you select user ID. If you leave the field empty, the following error is returned (see Source user must be defined!).
Before trying to copy authorization permissions you need to confirm the operation (see Are you sure you want to copy authorization settings from user (xx)?).

LT edition does not support authorizations, that is, you can assign it on the level of the entire program - for description see Users.
