Entering Text into Note in RTF Format

On all the documents in PANTHEON, there is the option to enter a note that can be seen in related documents and reports. The position of the note field depends on the document type (the image below is an example of an issue document 3000 – Sales).

Table of contents

  1. Entering the note directly into the input field
  2. Entering the note via the text editor

2.1 Text editor toolbar

2.2. Clipboard

2.3 Text editing tools

2.4 Text input field

1. Entering the note directly into the input field

We can enter the note directly into the Document note field in the document window. This is done by selecting the field. We can start entering the text when the flashing cursor appears.

2. Entering the note via the text editor

Double-clicking into the note field of a document opens the Text editor, which allows us to further format the text.

2.1. Text editor toolbar

The form toolbar is used to manage the Text editor.

HINT

You can read more about the toolbar features of the form HERE.

2.2. Clipboard

The clipboard contains text management tools.

It contains the following tools:

  • Paste (Ctrl+V keyboard shortcut)
  • Cut (Ctrl+X keyboard shortcut)
  • Copy (Ctrl+C keyboard shortcut)
  • Select all (Ctrl+A keyboard shortcut)

2.3. Text editing tools

Text editing tools are divided into six groups:

Font Tools for selecting fonts, their size, color, format, input mode, symbol selection, etc.
Paragraph Tools for formatting paragraphs, marking, numbering, etc.
Editing Tools for undoing and redoing, searching through the text and changing passwords.
Hyperlink A tool for managing hyperlinks in the text.
Pictures A tool for inserting image files into the text.
Attachments A tool for uploading attachments to the text.

2.4. Text input field

We enter the desired text into the text input field.
