Filter

       

Filter allows you to search for tasks. There are predefined filters or filters where you can enter and select search criteria for searching tasks.

The panel with filters is located on the To-do form.

The form is made up of certain elements, which are described below.

1. Calendar and Search

  (Calendar)

The calendar allows you to specify the period for which you want tasks to be displayed.

The red square indicates the current date.

You can use the mouse to select the data display period. Selected period is highlighted in yellow on the calendar.

 

HINT

If you select the date using the mouse cursor, this populates the fields: Date From, To.

Search

Search simultaneously by field: Assignet to, Owned by, Title, Subject, Task Desc.

 

HINT

When entering a search criterion, the % sign may be used in place of any symbol.

For example, to search for 'validation' tasks, you can type %valid% in the search field and the program will return results for all records that have a record with the root word 'valid' anywhere in the fields.

2. Predefined filters

 

 Tasks

A predefined filter that displays a list of all tasks.

 Outstanding tasks

A predefined filter that displays a list of tasks with the status Outstanding – the task completion date (Due date field) is in the past.

 Conflict

A predefined filter that displays a list of tasks with the status Conflict two tasks overlap in time or the task is scheduled outside the user's working hours.

 

Hint

The conflict message is displayed as a pop-up window in the Status field of the To-do list table.

 Not started

A predefined filter that displays a list of tasks with the status Not started the task has not yet started.

 Completed

A predefined filter that displays a list of tasks with the status Completed the task is complete.

 In progress

A predefined filter that displays jobs with the status In progress – the task is being carried out.

  Canceled

A predefined filter that displays a list of jobs with the status Canceled the task has been canceled and will not be carried out.

3. Search fields

 

Assigned to

Provides a drop-down list of users to whom tasks have been assigned.

To search or select multiple users to whom the tasks have been assigned, click on the button   that opens the Search By.

Date From

Enter or select the start date of the task display period from the calendar drop-down list.

To

Enter or select the end date of the task display period from the calendar drop-down list.

Owned By

Provides a drop-down list of the users who have created tasks.

To search or select multiple tasks owners, click on the button   that opens the Search By.

Priority

Select the priority of the tasks you want to display from the drop-down list.

To search or select multiple tasks priorities, click on the button   that opens the Search By.

Title

Enter the name of the task you are looking for. The search box searches for the Title field, which is located in the To-do list table.

Task Desc.

Search by Task text field. Enter the word you are looking for.

Calendar type

Select the type of calendar from the drop-down list for which you want to view tasks.

 To search or select multiple calendars, click on the button   that opens the Search By.

Task type

Select the task type of from the drop-down list for which you want to view tasks.

To search or select multiple task types, click on the button   that opens the Search By.

Subject

From the drop-down list, select the Subject specified on the task you want to display.

To search or select multiple Task types, click on the button   that opens the Search By.

Document

From the drop-down list, select the Document specified on the task you want to display.

To search or select multiple Documents, click on the button   that opens the Search By.

Database

The field shows a drop-down list where you select the database from which you want to display the tasks.

To search or select multiple Databases, click on the button   that opens the Search By.

Hint

You can run tasks from other databases in one database. You do not need to log in into each database individually to perform tasks.

 

WARNING

The list of databases is available if you have defined the access to servers or other databases.

 

4. Checkboxes and buttons

Hide completed tasks

If checked, the To-do List does not show tasks that have the status Completed.

Show link document for documentation

If checked, in To-do list table shows the column Link Document.

If a link exists, a hyperlink to the document is displayed.

Only my tasks

If checks, the To-do List shows only the tasks of the user who is logged in to the application.

Reset

Removes all user-defined criteria in the filters.

Filter

Updates the task list displayed in Tab view or Calendar view.

5. Hide/show

 Filter

Hides or reveals the Filter panel.
