Wizards

The Wizards include an additional feature, which is used to calculate depreciation for newly entered inventory numbers. It simplifies the process by automatically excluding fixed assets (FA) that have already been depreciated for the selected period.

The Wizards can be accessed by selecting Financials | Fixed assets | Depreciation Calculation | AR00 – Depreciation/indexation of fixed assets | Wizards

Hint
  • An example of how to use the specific Wizards feature is described on the corresponding pages of the User Manual for PANTHEON.
  • The Wizards are located at the top of every PANTHEON form and provide access to various functions, as described in the Wizards chapter.

The Wizards consist of the following function:

Fill in excluded and included inventor no.

(Fill in excluded and included inventory numbers)

When new FA are added during a period for which depreciation has already been calculated, it is possible to create a new depreciation entry for the same period. Instead of manually entering the new FA inventory numbers, you can use the Fill in Excluded and Included Inventory Numbers Wizard. This automatically populates the following fields:

  • Inventory numbers: Lists all FA inventory numbers for which depreciation has not yet been calculated, and which will be included in the new calculation.
  • Excluded inventory numbers: Lists all FA inventory numbers for which depreciation has already been calculated for the selected period.

When depreciation is calculated, the program will display a notification indicating that depreciation has already been performed for this period. Despite this message, the process can still proceed.

Warning

For the calculation to succeed, all previously depreciated FAs must be included in the Excluded Inventory No. field. If any of these FAs are missing, the Depreciation Calculation will not be executed.
