Removal (uninstallation)

In this chapter, we will show you how to uninstall PANTHEON from your computer.

1. Uninstalling the Datalab software

The user follows these steps:

• In the Dashboard, the user selects Remove program.
• The user selects the DataLab software.
• The user clicks Remove/Uninstall.
• The user follows the on-screen instructions.

WARNING The process of uninstalling the Datalab software is automatic or guided by the software uninstall wizard.

2. Removing the data server and database

If a data server and database are installed on the computer, the user can uninstall them using a similar procedure:

• In the Dashboard, the user selects Remove program.
• The user selects Data server
• The user clicks Uninstall.
• The user follows the on-screen instructions.

WARNING The SQL Server cannot be removed if it is active. In this case, shut down the server as well as the Service Manager in SQL Service Manager. For security reasons, the uninstaller does not delete the database. If you want to delete a database ( WARNING – DATA), then manually delete the .MDF and .LDF files in the directorythat you specified as the database location when you installed it.
