Select
Create WO from the wizards menu in the
Schedule Plan window opening a window for
generating work orders from schedule lines.
By setting criteria and manufacturing document type you can created new work orders.
When creating work orders from FMP they are not created into sublevels. It is wise to first create those products not necessitating semi-finished products. Finish by making products of most complex structure as recorded in product specifications. The order in which work orders are created can be set with parameters WO Creation Bottom-Up which can be found in the Administration Panel | Program Parameters | Manufacturing | Work Orders | Create WO.

Refresh Data

Click it to refresh data, according to the selected criteria.

Click it in order to release work orders. |
Narrow down selection of lines in schedule for creating work orders by setting the following criteria.
From
| Enter or select a date and time of the start of period.

| Enter or select a date and time of the end of period.

| Enter or select a document type narrowing down selection of lines in forward material plan only to those including the selected one.

Item Types |
Select item type(s) listed here as criteria in creating work orders. Only items of type P - Product (Product/Semi-finished Product) are available having checked Compound Goods and Services as Phantoms. The following types are available should you uncheck it: P - Product (Product/Semi-finished Product), C - Compound Goods and U - Compound Service. |

Criteria used in creating work orders.
Default DT
| Enter or select a document type ID which will be entered in those lines where document type is not set. This way you set the document type in which the work order will be created. You must enter it only for lines where it is not entered.

Copy Tools
| If checked, releases tools in work documentation as well.

Copy Small Tools | If checked, releases small tools in work documentation as well.
|
Transfer Regulations
| If checked, transfers regulations in work documentation as well. |
Bottom section displays lines in schedule.

Sel.
|
If checked, it marks a line in schedule to be used in creating of purchase order.

Item
| Displays an item in schedule to be used in creating of purchase order.

Alt.
| Enter or select an alternate. To say, you can select it from a table from a product specification. When creating a work order the selected alternate is used.

Name
| Displays a short text giving description of item (naming it).
|
Date
| Enter or select a date in schedule, that is, the date on which work order was processed.
|
Quantity
| Displays quantity required, that is, quantity planned in work order. Change it, if required.
|
U/M
| Displays a unit of measurement used.
|
Doc. Type
| Enter or select an ID of document type used in creating work order. If the field is empty, the document type set in parameters will be used by default.

Order
| Displays a number of work order.
|
Item Type
| Displays ID of item type.
|
Prim. Cat.
| Displays an ID of primary category of item.
|
Sec. Cat.
| Displays an ID of secondary category of item.

Checks are run and below you can see messages appearing in case of any errors.
Clicking Search initiates creating of work orders according to the criteria set. Before
work orders are created, you have to confirm the operation.
If a phantom item - that is, item types C orU - is included in the schedule and you checked parameter Compound Goods and Services as Phantoms, the IDs of components making up phantom item are recorded. Here the required
quantities for phantom item are used when trying to calculate volume. When recalculating batch quantities the quantity from work order is used.
If it is set in document type of internal issue, you can
automatically assign serial numbers .
The progress when releasing work orders can be observed in the status bar.
Having created work orders you can view log.
Click report button in order to create a log report.
