Security

Security tab brings all security settings for individual group together, where you can copy permissions or membership from source principal to selected group, adding or removing members of group and editing permissions of groups for working with different databases.

The tab is accessed by clicking the individual panel of group, on the Groups panel in Administration Panel.

The tab is made up of certain sub-tabs. A detailed description of the elements and functionalities on the tabs are described in chapters of individual user panel in Users, links below.

HINT Settings, on tabs in Groups,  apply to all users who are members of the group.

• General -  offers copying permissions and/or membership from other users and groups and editing permissions for selected group. The form offers the same functionality as for an individual user.
• Permissions - allows to manage group permissions on authorizations tree. The form offers the same functionality as for an individual user.
• Members - allows adding or removing user to group.
• Member Of - is inactive tab on individual group. Tab is active on panel of Users.
• Databases - allows copying permissions and/or memberships from databses on the same SQL server instance, to the selected group. The form offers the same functionality as for an individual user.
