Databases

The Databases tab enables copying permissions and/or memberships from user to the same user on other databases on the same SQL server instance.

The form can be accessed by clicking the individual user on the Users panel in Administration Panel and selecting the Security tab.

The form is made up of certain elements, which are described below.

Name

Database name.

Company

Company of database. Set the subject in the field This Company in Administration Panel Settings Company.

Group

The name of group of databases on SQL server.

Version

Database version number.

Revision

Database revision number.

Permissions

If checked (), permissions of the user will be copied.

Memberships

If checked (), memberships of the user will be copied. Group in target database must exist in order to copy membership. Copying membership does not create user group in target database.

Copy

Copies the permissions and/or memberships from the selected user to the same user on other databases on the same SQL server instance.

Hint

The databases to which the permissions or memberships will be copied must be selected. Multiple selection is possible using Shift or Ctrl keyboard buttons.

Warning
  1. Only user permissions are copied (permissions that are specifically set on a user). Permissions that the user acquires from a user group are not copied.
  2. At the end of copying, there is a list of all databases to which permissions have not been copied, because the database is of older version or the user does not exist.
  3. If the user in target database does not have permissions for changing authorizations, copying permissions is disabled.
