Defining SMS and Email Notification Service Settings

Customers can be notified about a received order, reminded of an arranged appointment, notified about a special sales offer, etc., via email or SMS message.

The notification process is controlled by predefined workflows.

The following steps are needed for the business processes connected with SMS and email notification services to work:

Table of Contents

  1. Activating the SMS notification service
  2. Importing the eSMS service Mailbox
  3. Importing the business processes via Web service
  4. Entering the telephone number and email in the Subjects register

1. Activating the eSMS notification service

To send SMS messages or use the SMS notification service, the SMS notification service must be activated beforehand.

For more information read chapter Activating the eSMS Notification Service

WARNING

2. Importing the eSMS service Mailbox

The exchange of SMS notifications using the predefined workflows takes place in the eSMS service Mailbox, which can be downloaded via Web service to the register.

WARNING

The Mailbox import is a one-time process. If you have already completed it, you can skip this step.

3. Importing the business process via Web service

For the SMS and email notification service eWorkflow import follow the process described in the chapterTransferring eWorkflow via PANTHEON Web Service.

WARNING
