Functional States of Fixed Assets

The use of the Functional States of Fixed Assets register is optional, as the Status field in the Header only provides additional information about the fixed asset (FA) and does not influence accounting. The Status of FA can be for example defined as Active, Inactive, Damaged, or as any other chosen relevant condition. This helps provide additional information of the FA’s current functional state.

The register can be accessed from the Header, located in the Fixed Assets, Small Tools and Register-Fixed Assets in Acquisition registers, by double-clicking the Status field.

Hint

Examples of how to use the Fixed Asset Groups register are described on the corresponding pages of the User Manual for PANTHEON.

The register is divided into the following sections:

Table of contents

  1. Toolbar
  2. Central Form

1. Toolbar

The Toolbar is located at the top of every PANTHEON form and provides access to various features, as described in the Toolbar chapter. A function specific to Functional States of Fixed Assets is the 01E - Fixed Assets Statuses report, which can be accessed by clicking the  (Reports) button.

2. Central Form

In the Central Form, new entries can be created to define the various functional states of the FAs, such as Active, Inactive, Damaged, or any other custom status relevant to the FA's operational condition. It enables the management of the various functional states that a FA can go through during its lifecycle.

Type

An 8-character alphanumeric status assigned to the FA, which is visible in the Status field in the Header when selected. It helps categorize the FA according to its functional state or stage in its lifecycle.

Name

A descriptive Name for the status Type, up to 40 characters in length.

It provides a clear and concise label for the FA's status, such as: Damaged - returned to use after repair.
Active

A checkbox used to indicate whether the FA is active or inactive. Selecting this option marks the FA as active, helping track which FAs are currently in use within the organization.

This setting can be used to filter Reports.
