Feed usage calculation

Feed usage calculation

 

Feed usage calculation is a wizard that calculates approximate date when feed will run out from stock. Calculation is done based on feeding plan, feeding groups and stock of feed on all warehouses. Wizard won't be able to calculate without these settings:

  • feeding plan has to be prepared with feed quantities
  • feeding groups have to be created with weeding plan associated to each group
  • feed has to be added to stock. There is no specific warehouse as software sums all warehouses.

Wizard calculates quantities automatically. When wizard is opened, grid is first empty. User sets date of calculation. Default date is 30 days from today which means that software wil calculate which feed will run out of stock in next third days and when approximately. If date of empty stock is empty then feed will not run out. User can manually change date.

In field Meals per day user sets how many feed is he feeding per day. Default number is 2 meals per day but user can change this. This number also influences end date.

By clicking on button  software will calculate expected date.

000001.gif Process of calculation can be very time consuming. It depends on number of feeds in different meals, number of animals in database and especially on date of end calculation.
