Record treatment on animal record

Record animal treatment

This process enables recording of diseases for individual animal, which medications were used to treat animal, when animal was cured and, especiall important, when such animal can return to production (withdrawal period). Hereinafter you will find description of a process how to record treatment of an animal.

General settings

Before you start recording treatments and medication to individual animal, you have to make sure that setting are defined. You can find more about health settings in the following link (health settings) where you can also find sample settings on screenshot.

In case you will only fill in treatments without medicine, only setting treatment is required, otherwise you have to insert also default document for medicine and default warehouse for medicine.

Recording of treatment on animal record

Usually farmers can not treat animals by themselves and let veterinarians to handle this. Although this is the case also for you, you still have to define document and warehouse (described above) if you want to record used medicine as document is still created. To avoid confusion with stock of medicine, you cen either select warehouse without stock or select negative stock (warehouse settings). Otherwise you first have to put medicine on stock, before you can use it in treatment.

Functionality to record treatment of animal to animal record is described in following link (treatment on animal record). For each entry (treatment and used medicine) separate document is created. Document for treatment is defined in general settings in administration panel and for medicine in health panel.

Medicine panel also contain one usable feature. For each medicine added to treatment you can also prepare treatmend planand PANTHEON Farming will automatically follow it. If you look at the screenshot below plan was created that selected medication should be repeated 5 times every 2 days (in red square). Nex time you select same medicine on this animal, PANTHEON will automatically calculate date (2 days later) and decrease repetitions for 1. This process can repeat until repetitions reach 0. If you select new medications, you have to create new treatment plan.

If you create treatment plan for one medicine for more animals, you can review required quantities of medicine on report 6A2 in Livestock, Report by Criteria, Report calculates daily amount of medicine per animal (green square) and total needed amuont per day (red square) as shown on screenshot below.

Recording of animal treatment on veterinary journal

You can also record animal treatments on veterinary journal. Process of data recording is similar, the only difference is that on veterinary journal you can select multiple animals. You can find more about recording of animal treatment on following link (Veterinary journal).

Recording of animal treatment on anima groups (lamb and pig fattening, poultry for meat, poultry for egg production)

Recording of treatments is done a bit different beacuse treatment is recorded on animal group. Since animal group is permanent and remains visible even when animals in group change. You can find details about data recording in following links (Treatment of lambs for fattening, Treatment of pigs for fattening and Treatment of poultry) but in general recorded data is similar than on other modules.
