Planning Document Analysis

The creation of a business plan is followed by its analysis. Plans can be compared with realization. In PANTHEON, a tool for planning Inflows and Outflows is also available.
The plan analysis is presented in the following case.

CASE SUMMARY
The person responsible has created a business plan for the Tecta in-house cafe for the year 2020. The plan includes sales, purchasing, financial indicators and payroll costs values. The person responsible wants to analyse the plan and compare it with the realization. The person responsible also wants to see a plan of inflows and outflows. This is done as follows:

1. Selecting the Plan to Analyse
To analyse a plan, a planning document must already be created.
The person responsible wants to analyse the plan for the Tecta in-house cafe.
In the navigation bar, the person responsible selects the menu Analytics | Planning | NA00 | Planning. A planning document opens.
Clicking the
(three dots) in the taskbar opens a window containing created planning documents.
The person responsible selects the desired plan and opens it by double-clicking the plan or clicking the Confirm button.

The planning document opens on the General tab. To analyse the document, the person responsible opens the Analysis tab.
The person responsible continues to plan analysis.
2. Analysing the Plan
On the Analysis tab, the person responsible selects the type of plan for analysis and all other details of analysis.
In this case, the person responsible selects the Sales plan from the drop-down list, to analyse the Sales plan.
These are the other options available:
- Purchasing
- Finance
- Payroll

The person responsible selects the comparison by values and by lines, as the plan is made.

The predefined analysis is a comparison of planned value with the realization value and index.

To see the sales totals, the person responsible selects the Total checkbox.

The user can choose between different plan analysis displays. For more information, see the chapter Analysis.

The analysis is created by clicking the Calculate button.
The analysis displays the planned sales in comparison with the current realized sales. The realized sale is a sum of all issue documents from the BAR warehouse in the selected period.
For every period, you can also see the index of reaching the planned value (as shown in the image below).

In the last columns, the person responsible can also see the comparison between the total planned value and realization.

Clicking the
(Export to Excel) button in the toolbar saves the analysis to the Excel file.
The person responsible also wants to analyse the plans for purchasing, finance, and payroll.
In the drop-down menu, the person responsible selects the desired plan and follows the steps described above.

This concludes the plan analysis. The person responsible can continue to planning inflows and outflows.
3. Planning Inflows and Outflows
The Inflow / Outflow Plan is used to review the expected cash flow based on planning by subjects or in summary.
The tab is found on the planning document.
To check the cash flow based on the plan for the local Tecta bar, the person responsible selects a planning document and opens the Infl./Outfl. Plan tab.
From the drop-down menu, the person responsible selects the Sum view and selects checkboxes to show inflows, outflows, and balance (as shown in the image below).

The cash flow plan is created by clicking the Show button.

A cash flow plan is created based on the business plan of the Tecta in-house cafe. The person responsible can plan monthly inflows, outflows, and balances.
The person responsible wants to export the data to an Excel, protected with a password. In the toolbar, the person responsible selects the
(Export to Locked Excel Spreadsheet) button and saves the Excel file.

WARNING
To export to a locked Excel spreadsheet, the Export Settings password must be set on the General tab of the planning document.
