User absence

 

For each task, a person responsible is assigned to carry out the task. However, it may happen that the person who should have carried out the task is absent. In this case, the task needs to be reassigned to the user who is substituting the person responsible.

CASE SUMMARY

Pat Purchase, Head of Purchasing at Tecta, manages the weekly purchase orders for suppliers. During the summer holidays, a person responsible needs to be assigned to take over the work during Pat's absence. All tasks need to be reassigned to another person. This is done as follows:

  • In the window To-do, the person responsible who will be absent clicks the button User absence.

  • A new window User absence opens. From the drop-down list of the field Substitute user, the person responsible select the person who will be substituting the person responsible during their absence. In this case, the person responsible selects Adele Administrator.

  • In the date field Absence from-to, the person responsible enters the period of their absence.

  • The person responsible clicks the button Get tasks.

The tasks for the selected period are reassigned to the substitute user.
