Creating a new job

The Jobs register is used in the module Personnel. You can add jobs as desired , depending on your staffing needs. Using a list of jobs speeds up the work with the program and reduces the chance for errors when entering data.
This chapter shows how to create a new job in the Jobs register.

CASE SUMMARY
The person responsible in the Personnel Department wants to add a new job that has been advertised as "Head of Servicing" to the Jobs register. This is done as follows:
- Opening the list of jobs
- Entering the data for the new job
|
1. Opening the list of jobs
To open the Jobs register, the person responsible clicks Registers | Employees from the main menu.

By default, this opens the Jobs register, where all jobs entered in the program are displayed.
To create a new entry, the person responsible clicks the button New job in the top right corner of the window.

2. Entering the data for the new job
This opens a new form with empty fields where the person responsible enters the data for the new job.

HINT
When a new code is created, the field status automatically changes to Active.
|
In the field Job, the person responsible enters a short job code or job name, in this case: Head of Servicing.
In the field Name (long), the person responsible enters a longer job name, in this case, the same entry is repeated: Head of Servicing.
In the field Superior position, the person responsible selects the superior for this job position from the drop-down list, in this case: Director.
Finally, the person responsible selects the department for the new job from the drop-down list of the field Department, in this case: Services.
The person responsible finishes creating the new job by clicking the button Save.
