Setting up work obligations

The Work obligations register is used to enter any work obligations that apply at company level. They appear in Work records as buttons in the timer, which the employees use to record their working hours. The settings for work obligations in PANTHEON Web Light can be accessed in the module Settings | Work records | Work obligations.
This chapter shows how to create a new work obligation in in PANTHEON Web Light.

CASE SUMMARY
The person responsible wants to add a new obligation to the Work obligations register: Lunch break - from home. The person responsible opens the settings for work obligations and starts adding the new work obligation. This is done as follows:

1. Opening the settings for work obligations
The person responsible wants to check the list of current work obligations.
To open the settings for work obligations, the person responsible selects the module Settings, tab Work records and clicks the panel Work obligations.

The list of currently available work obligations is displayed.

The person responsible can now create a new work obligation.
2. Creating a new work obligation
Into the Work obligations register, the person responsible wants to add a new obligation: Lunch break - from home.
The person responsible starts entering the new obligation in the first blank line of the list.
In the empty field in the column Code, the person responsible enters the work obligation identification code: LBH.
In the empty field in the column Name, the person responsible enters the name of the work obligation: Lunch break - from home.

From the drop-down list of the empty field of the column ET (Earnings type), the person responsible selects RDC - Regular work.

The value in the field Earnings type (ET) is selected from the Earnings types register. This information affects payroll preparation.

From the drop-down list of the empty field of the column Operation column, the person responsible selects Add.

HINT
The operation indicates whether the work obligation is taken into account for the working hours for the selected earnings type when preparing payroll. Time can be added, subtracted or set to have no effect (none).

The person responsible enables the toggle button in the column From home.

An enabled toggle button indicates that this work obligations will be displayed, when the toggle button Work from home is enabled in the timer of Work records.

From the drop-down list in the column Icon, the person responsible selects the fork and knife icon

From the drop-down list in the column Main color, the person responsible selects the desired color: gold

By clicking the plus button
, the person responsible adds the work obligation to the register.
A button for the added work obligation will be displayed in Work records.
