Animal entry

Veterinary clinics keep records of animals (patients) in connection with their owners. When an owner brings their animal to the veterinary clinic for the first time, the receptionist or veterinarian (responsible person) enters it into the program, where a unique code for the animal or group of animals is created.

We have prepared examples for you for adding new codes for different types of animals. Creating a new record for the selected animal is done via the button  (+ New) on the form Owner and animal code list.

TIP

For more detailed information about the program forms, read in the PANTHEON VET Guide, in the chapter Animal data.

We have divided the manual into the following chapters:

Animal entry (general)

In this chapter, we have described the general procedure for entering animals using an example, where general fields and tabs appear, regardless of the selected type of animal. Specifics related to the type of animal are presented in the chapters that follow.

Dog entry

In Slovenia, there are legally defined data that must be kept for dogs. For this purpose, the program PANTHEON VET allows for species-specific data management. In this chapter, we have prepared an example of entering a new code for a dog and the related or required data for the animal.

Cat entry

The program PANTHEON VET allows for species-specific data management. In this chapter, we have prepared an example of entering a new code for a cat and the related data for the animal.

Entry of small livestock

Small livestock (sheep, goats) are among the so-called farm animals for breeding and use. In this chapter, we have prepared an example of entering a new code for small livestock and the related data for the type of animal.

Cattle entry

In Slovenia, there are legally defined data that must be kept for cattle and are maintained in the national database VOLOS. PANTHEON VET enables the transfer of data about cattle, thus speeding up the veterinarian's work in the field. In this chapter, we have prepared an example of entering a new code for cattle manually and via import from VOLOS.

Equine entry

Equines (horses, donkeys) are animals for breeding and sports. In this chapter, we have prepared an example of entering a new code for a horse and the related data for the animal.

Entry of other animals

The program PANTHEON VET allows for the entry of data for any type of animal (hamsters, guinea pigs, parrots, predators, game, reptiles, other exotic species, ...). In this chapter, we have prepared an example of entering a new code for a bee colony and the related data.
