NOT VALID - ARCHIVE! - Assigning PANTHEON Granules to users with local PANTHEON license

This chapter describes the process of assigning PANTHEON Granules to the users with a local PANTHEON license.

The person responsible (usually administrator) who has successfully activated PANTHEON Granules can now assign them to users. Only as many PANTHEON Granules as have been activated can be assigned to users.

PANTHEON Granules are linked to a named user, which means that each PANTHEON Granule must be linked to a specific employee in the company.

WARNING

PANTHEON Granules are additional services that can be accessed if your company has already been using one of the PANTHEON Web licenses.

This chapter provides an example of a basic assignment of PANTHEON Granules to the users of local PANTHEON licenses.

CASE SUMMARY

The company Tecta Ltd. wants to enable its employees to use some of the functionalities of PANTHEON Web. Because they are looking for a solution that is easy to use and cost-effective, they choose to use PANTHEON Granules. After the activation of PANTHEON Granules, the person responsible assigns them to the users, i.e. Tecta's employees. This is done as follows:

  1. Logging in to the PANTHEON UserSite
  2. Adding a local PANTHEON Web database
  3. Adding users
  4. Assigning PANTHEON Granules to users

1. Logging in to the PANTHEON UserSite

To assign PANTHEON Granules to users, the person responsible first needs to log in and access the PANTHEON UserSite.

HINT

For more information on how to log in to the PANTHEON UserSite, see the chapter Activating PANTHEON Granules.

Available PANTHEON Granules that can be assigned to users are listed at the bottom of the page in the section Assign granules.

In this case, the person responsible can assign the following Granules:

6 Granules Work records (0/6)

2 Granules Travel orders (0/2)

2 Granules Documents and Tasks (0/2)

1 Granule Dashboard (0/1)

1 Granule B2B orders (0/1)

If there are no users in the table or if a certain user cannot be found, the person responsible proceeds to sections 2. Adding a local PANTHEON Web database or 3. Adding users. Otherwise the person responsible proceeds to section 4. Assigning PANTHEON Granules to users.

2. Adding a local PANTHEON Web database

The person responsible wants to add a new local PANTHEON Web database, from which the users will be transferred.

The person responsible clicks the button Add local Web database.

The window Add local Web database opens.

The person responsible enters the exact name of the local database in the field Company, in this case: TECTA_EU.

From the drop-down list of the field Serial Number, the person responsible selects the appropriate serial number.

The person responsible confirms the data entered by clicking the button Add button.

The local PANTHEON Web database has been added, so the person responsible can now add users.

3. Adding users

The person responsible wants to add users from the added local PANTHEON Web database who will use PANTHEON Granules.

The person responsible clicks the button Add user.

The window Add user opens.

The person responsible selects the relevant database from the drop-down list of the field Company (database name), in this case: TECTA_EU.

The users from the database are displayed.

WARNING

The list for assigning PANTHEON Granules displays all active users who have ever logged in to the PANTHEON UserSite via the PANTHEON program.

To add new users, see the chapter Registration for PANTHEON users.

By checking the relevant checkboxes in the column Add user, the person responsible selects the users to whom PANTHEON Granules will be assigned.

After a checkbox has been checked, the user is immediately transferred to the list for assigning PANTHEON Granules.

If the user is not found on the first page, the person responsible continues to the next page by clicking the page number 2.

Here, the person responsible selects the remaining users.

The selected users are transferred to the list for assigning PANTHEON Granules.

The person responsible then assigns the activated PANTHEON Granules to the users.

4. Assigning PANTHEON Granules to users

The person responsible wants to assign PANTHEON Granules to the relevant users who will need them to perform their work.

PANTHEON Granules are assigned to users by checking the checkboxes in the table.

HINT

If a PANTHEON Granule has already been assigned to user A and you want to assign it to user B, you first need to unassign it from user A and then assign it to user B.

HINT

Clicking the bin icon (Delete) deletes the user from the table for assigning PANTHEON Granules, but not from the PANTHEON database.

Wallace Wholesale will use the Granules Work records, Travel orders and Documents and Tasks.

The person responsible checks the three relevant checkboxes in his table row.

WARNING

If any PANTHEON Granule is assigned to a user that has already been using a PANTHEON Web license, such a user will lose access to that PANTHEON Web license and will only be able to access the functionality of that particular PANTHEON Granule. For this reason, administrators are not displayed in the list.

The person responsible allocates the remaining PANTHEON Granules to other employees. The table is refreshed automatically.

The table shows that all active PANTHEON Granules have been assigned.

HINT

In case you want to assign additional PANTHEON Granules, go back to the chapter Activating PANTHEON Granules.

PANTHEON Granules are now assigned to their respective users.

WARNING

Before you start using PANTHEON Granules, their license must be refreshed by the administrator in PANTHEON Web.

For instructions on how to refresh PANTHEON Granules and start using them, see the chapter First use of PANTHEON Granules.
