Basic information

On the tab Basic information the basic information about the animal that we entered in the Owners and Animals Register upon the first entry of the animal is displayed.

In this chapter, we will present an example of reviewing the basic information of an animal. The functionality is located in the menu Veterinary | Animal history review | Basic information.

CASE DESCRIPTION The veterinarian wants to check the ID number for the female dog Poppy, owned by Jasna Jerebičar, during the review of the animal's history. They do this by following these steps: Animal history review form Basic information tab

1. Animal history review form

The responsible person wants to check the ID number of the female dog Poppy in the basic information section of the animal history review form.

On the form, they already have the owner's information filled in: Jasna Jerebičar.

 They continue with the review of the basic information.

2. Basic information tab

The program automatically opens the tab Basic information and filled fields with information about the female dog Poppy.

TIP Description of the fields that are copied from the Owners and Animals Register to the fields of the tab Basic information can be read in the chapter Basic information.

The veterinarian sees all the basic information about the animal here, such as name, gender, species, category, breed, etc.

WARNING If the owner has multiple animals registered, the appropriate animal must be selected from the dropdown list of the field Animal.

In our case, they are interested in the ID number.

This is copied from the Owners and Animals Register to the field Animal (shown in the image below).

For the animal, the female dog Poppy finds the record for the ID number: 70503504000041X.

WARNING Depending on the type of animal selected, a new additional tab is displayed (in the above example, we see the tab Dogs). More about the fields that are located on the tabs for different types of animals can be read in the chapter Animal entry.
