Settings on department - Personnel

Parameters for leave calculation are set in the Administration panel. The parameters can be set for the entire company or for separate departments, if they have different ways of calculating annual leave.

The option is accessible from the menu Administration panel | Settings | Personnel | Leave.

Warning

The appearance of the Department panel depends on the parameter Settings on department, set in the Administration Panel | Settings | Personnel. If it is enabled, leave can be set by department.

This chapter of the User Manual presents how to set the parameters for leave to be calculated by Department.

Case summary

The person responsible wants to define the leave formula and the number of minimum and maximum days for leave calculation for the Manufacturing department. This is done as follows:

  1. Opening the Leave window in the Administration Panel
  2. Defining the department
  3. Defining leave parameters for the Manufacturing department

1. Opening the Leave window in the Administration Panel

The person responsible selects the Settings module from the menu and opens Program | Administration Panel | Settings | Personnel | Leave.

The Leave window appears on the screen. The bottom part of the panel contains settings by department, presented in the image below:

2. Defining the department

To define the department, the person responsible does as follows:

  • Department: Selects Manufacturing

  • Filter: After selecting the department, the person responsible clicks the Filter button to refresh the screen data. The bottom part of the panel now only displays the Manufacturing department.

3. Defining leave parameters for the Manufacturing department

To define the leave parameters for the Manufacturing department, the person responsible needs to set the following fields:

  • Leave Formula: From the Leave Formulas Registers, MF Leave is selected. This formula will be valid for calculating the leave for all the employees from the Manufacturing department.
Hint
For instructions on how to create Leave formulas, see the chapter Leave formulas in the Tech Guide for PANTHEON.
  • Max. days – The maximum number of leave valid for all the employees from the Manufacturing department is entered. In this case, the max. amount of annual leave is 35 days.
Warning

Based on the maximum number of days, control is performed when calculating leave in Employee files in the panel Absence | Leave Parameters. The calculation of annual leave may not exceed 35 days for all employees from the Manufacturing department.

  • Min. days – The minimum number of leave that valid for all the employees from the Manufacturing department is entered. In this case, the min. amount of annual leave is 22 days.
WARNING

Based on the minimum number of days, control is performed when calculating leave in Employee files in the panel Absence | Leave Parameters. The calculation of annual leave may not be lower than 22 days for all employees from the Manufacturing department.

In Employee files, all employees from the Manufacturing department now have a defined leave formula: MF Leave. It is also defined that when calculating annual leave, it may not exceed 35 days and may not be lower than 22 days.
