Search Items
The feature for searching items by any criterion or a combination of different criteria greatly simplifies the search for items from the Items register.

Case summary
The person responsible, Roger, got an order for CHAIRS. The customer wants to buy 70 chairs and will buy more later. First, the person responsible will check stock and the available number of items using the operation Search items. This is done as follows:
- Searching for Item
- Entering the Search Criteria
- Selecting and Adding an Item Line

1. Searching for Item
For this purpose, the person responsible opens a new POS receipt by clicking on the menu Goods | Issue | POS | 3200 – POS retail. By clicking the Insert record button in the toolbar, empty fields are created so that data can be entered.

After creating a new document and entering items, the person repsonsible opens the Find Item form. It can be opened from the Operations button or Items icon at the top of panel.
This opens the form Find Item.

Next, the person responsible enters the search criteria.
2. Entering the Search Criteria
In the Item field, the person responsible enters the search string "chair", selects the radio button Active to only search among active items, and presses the ENTER key or clicks the Find button.

The program searches the Items register for all items that contain the string "CHAIR" anywhere in the item ID, and displays them in the Overview section.
Available chairs are CHAIR and CHAIR ALPHA.
Also, the person responsible can see there is 210 pcs at Warehouse Wholesale in the section Available Stock, Therefore there are enough items for issue. Any search criteria for searching item can be defined.

3. Selecting and Adding an Item Line
When the person responsible finds the desired item in the Overview section, the person responsible selects the item and clicks the Select and Add Line button.

The item is added to the POS document, and is visible in the background of the form.

The person responsible can now close the Find Item window and continue editing the POS receipt.
