PANTHEON Setup Wizard

Using the PANTHEON setup wizard, the person responsible completes all the settings step-by-step, following the program instructions.
The steps for local PANTHEON installation that are described below are meant for existing and new PANTHEON users.
The wizard will install the following on your work station:
- Microsoft SQL Server Express 2019
- PANTHEON server

IMPORTANT
- The PANTHEON Installation package is located at this website: https://ftps.datalab.si/demo/
- Sort the data by date descending, by clicking the Last modified button.

- From the list, select the file with the adequate structure Install SQL_SI_, where the last numbers signify the version of the program to which the host is currently upgraded (as in the example below, Install SQL_SI_1003820.exe).

The person responsible downloads the PANTHEON installation package onto their work station from the https://ftps.datalab.si/demo/ web page, according to the instructions above. The person responsible opens the folder where the file was downloaded to – usually somewhere in Downloads. The person responsible selects the downloaded file Install SQL_SI_XXXXXX.exe by right-clicking on it and selecting Run as administrator.

WARNING
PANTHEON is always installed by the user with the adequate permissions for installing the software on our work station.

1.1. User Account Control
The person responsible confirms the User account control by clicking Yes.

1.2. InstallAware Wizard
The person responsible waits for the setup wizard to be installed. Once the wizard is installed, the person responsible follows the instructions of the setup wizard.

The person responsible follows the steps below:
2.1. Welcome to DATALAB Pantheon 10 setup
In the first step, the wizard only greets the user, so the person responsible clicks Next.

2.2. License agreement
In the second setup step, the person responsible accepts the license agreement, if they agree with it. The person responsible checks the I accept the license agreement checkbox and clicks Next.

2.3. Setup type
In the third step, the person responsible has to ENTER THE NECESSARY INFORMATION! The setup wizard asks the user to enter the desired user name, name od the company (e.g. DATALAB SI) and a short name of the company, which will serve as the name of the database, which is why it must not contain any spaces (e.g., DATALAB).

2.4. License type
In the fourth step, the person responsible selects the license type and then clicks the Next button.

2.5. Waiting for the wizard to find the Microsoft SQL Server instances
In the following step, the person responsible only waits a moment for the wizard to find all the instances of Microsoft SQL Server

2.6. Entering the instance name and password
In the sixth step, the wizard automatically fills in the instance name that was entered in the third step, and fills in the default password, which can be changed at will. Upon entering the desired information, the person responsible clicks Next.

2.7. Selecting a folder for the program installation
Then the program automatically selects the default folder for the program installation – C:\DataLab, which can be changed at will. Then the person responsible clicks Next.

2.8. Naming the application and creating a shortcut
Then, the program automatically suggests the default application name (DataLab Pantheon 10) and asks to create a shortcut to the application for all users or just for yourself. Once the person responsible chooses, they click Next.

2.9. Preparing installation
In the next step, the wizard notifies us that installation is ready to start and the person responsible clicks Next, and then waits a moment for the wizard to test the internet connection.


2.10. Installation
The person responsible waits for the wizard to install all the necessary applications.

2.11. Finalizing installation
At the end, the wizard notifies us that the installation was successful. If the person responsible wants to run PANTHEON right away, they leave the check mark next to Run DataLab PANTHEON now. Then, the person responsible clicks Finish.

If the person responsible left the checkbox to run PANTHEON after installation in the last installation step checked, the PANTHEON login window will open. The person responsible enters the user – AD into the login window, but leaves the password field empty and checks the database login by clicking the Logon button.
If the person responsible wants to set the password, the person responsible clicks the key – on the right side of the password field.

WARNING
If the user has several databases, they will have to refresh the database list at the first login. They do that by clicking Refresh on the drop-down list of the field Company. PANTHEON will display the databases where the user is attached.

In case the program spells out letters with caron incorrectly, please check instructions for exercising Windows regional settings.
