Logging into PANTHEON Web using multi-factor authentication

Multi-factor authentication (MFA) or Two-factor authentication (2FA) is an electronic authentication method in which a user is granted access to PANTHEON Web only after successfully presenting more pieces of evidence (or factors) to an authentication mechanism.
Authentication token can be received via email, SMS or Viber.

Warning Tokens can be sent to users only if eMessaging service is activated and a sufficient quantity of messages is avaliable within the package. You can order eMessaging service on our User Site. Additional information about the service can be found on Datalab's website.

In this chapter, we will present a use case on how to successfully log in to PANTHEON Web with MFA Token. 

Case summary The user wants to login in to PANTHEON Web that has MFA enabled. They start the program and enter their credentials into login window. They do this by following these steps. Entering credentials into PANTHEON Web login window Requesting a MFA token Entering MFA token

1. Entering credentials into PANTHEON login window

The user runs PANTHEON Web executable file and the login window opens. 

They proceed to enter their credentials for login.

2. Requesting a MFA token

When MFA is enabled, a MFA Login window will open for all users after initial PANTHEON Web login.

In sendto dropdown menu the user can choose to receive MFA token via SMS, email or Viber.

After choosing the method, the user selects Request New Token to receive the token.

Warning User can request multiple tokens.

They will receive the token via SMS, email or Viber shortly:

Then they proceed to enter the token into MFA Login window.

3. Entering MFA token 

They enter the received token into the Token field and click on Login button to successfully log into PANTHEON Web.
